About
Welcome!
My name is Jacqueline, a proud wife and mum of 3 girls and I live in and service the Perth Northern Suburbs as a postpartum care provider (traditionally known as a Doula). I am also an Early Childhood Teacher with over 15 years experience.
As a doula specialising in postpartum care for new mothers, my mission is to nurture and support you and your newborn. Together, we will navigate this beautiful journey with care and compassion.
Your well-being is my priority, and I am here to provide you with judgement-free guidance, reassurance, and comfort during this transformative time. Let's embark on this experience together, one filled with love and care.
I pride myself on being a kind, caring and compassionate person and this will be reflective in the doula services and care that you and your beautiful new bundle will receive from me.
Experience in-home care through tailored packages or with the flexibility of creating your own. From meeting before your baby is born through the postpartum period, I will provide you with both the emotional and physical support you need during this time.
What is a Doula?
A ‘Doula’ is a postpartum care professional. The term ‘postpartum’ is becoming the more commonly used term, as opposed to ‘postnatal’.
The postpartum period for a mother can also be known as ‘The Fourth Trimester’. Leaning back into culture, we would see the postpartum period last for forty days. This is why in modern culture, we can see such an emphasis on the first six weeks, for example babies being checked over medically at 6 weeks of age. In reality, the postpartum period does not magically stop at 6 weeks and mothers will often require extra support beyond those 6 weeks. Hence why, I also offer a package called the 10 Week Nurture Package.
The services that a postpartum carer provides can vary between each provider, but at the core it is all about nurturing a newborn mother and her newborn baby. In addition, helping her to feel less alone in the beginning stages of motherhood which can so often feel very isolating.
Having been through the newborn stages of motherhood myself 3 times, I can relate and therefore provide this in the level of compassion and care you will receive.
